Dr. Kim Morton:Dr. Kim Morton has served 25 years in education. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2016 and currently serves as a curriculum specialist for a large urban school district in North Carolina. She has taught PreK-higher education students and has experience working in a variety of school settings (rural, suburban, inner-city, and Title I). She has been awarded district teacher of the year and NC state health education teacher of the year. In 2005, she obtained Jensen Learning certification and in 2016 she earned Action Based Learning certification. She believes if you are an educator, presenter, trainer you need to understand how the brain learns best to increase student engagement, memory and recall.
Dr. Morton has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences focusing on curriculum, design and instructional delivery. She wrote and designed Choice Led Health Curriculum(s) for her school district providing skills-based instruction through the use of "Health Menu's" for grades 6-high school. Additionally, she created and developed B3: Brain, Body, Behavior program to help elementary students regulate their emotions and bodies through intentional movement activities. |
